The Cheyenne EnGen is powered by a standard Li-Ion battery and includes three 1200 mAh rechargeable batteries, each providing up to 4 hours of runtime after a quick 2-hour charge. Changing batteries is a breeze thanks to its innovative slide system, making the switch fast and seamless. The ergonomic design of the EnGen complements Cheyenne's tattoo machines like the Sol Nova, Hawk Pen, and Hawk Pen Unio, enhancing their capabilities. Additionally, the EnGen can also be used with other tattoo machines that feature a 3.5 mm jack connector.

The EnGen is operated using only three buttons that are easy to navigate even when the EnGen is covered for hygienic purposes. The OLED display can be rotated to fit any machine and shows the working voltage and remaining battery life in real-time.
